1st Annual Roanoke Spring Dance Spectacular
Champion Dance Sport & AB Dance Schools are proud to present the
1ST ANNUAL ROANOKE SPRING DANCE SPECTACULAR! Held in Roanoke VA. Plan on spending an amazing dance day with us!!! Our event will be held in the Crystal Ballroom at the beautiful Hotel Roanoke on May 19th 2024. We are having workshops, dinner and a 3 hour dance party, for the ultimate day of dance experience.
We will begin the day with four 50 minute workshops starting at 1pm. Two workshops in Smooth/Standard and two in Rhythm/Latin. Our instructors will be John King and Rachael Anthony.
After our workshops a delicious buffet dinner will be available at your leisure while enjoying a none stop 3 hour dance party from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Time to boogie & show off all your moves you learned in class!
In addition we will be offering a professional unedited video for your purchase, from Sky’s the Limit Photography, before nights end.
A Little About Our Instructors
John and Rachael have over 40 years of combined dance experience. They are dedicated to bringing the highest quality of instruction, from beginners to Dance Sport Competitors. Rachael is a DVIDA certified Instructor. She has won numerous regional titles across the United States in Ballroom dance competitions. In Addition she is a former WSDC World Swing Champion. She owns her own hair and makeup style company called, Beauty by Rachael, where she takes pride in the perfect hair style and make up for your wedding or ballroom dance competition. John is a USTA certified instructor and adjudicator in all ballroom standards, as well as a gold level instructor for Fred Astaire ballroom dance Inc. He has also won many regional titles in Ballroom dance competitions across the country. He is a former United States professional rhythm champion and Ohio Star ball finalist in the American Smooth and Rhythm styles of dance.
In the workshops they will be covering basic understanding of figures, movement, posture, frame, partnering, connection, turns and more. From the beginner to the advanced competitor, no matter your level, you will definitely better your dance knowledge and techniques from these workshops as there will be something for everyone.
